About LitENV

LitENV is a reference platform on ecocriticism, environmental humanities and world literature that was inspired by the teaching of the University Scholars Programme’s module USE2324: Gender and Ecology in Asia. It has been developed using the USP incentive fund. The site houses research materials, scholarly articles, and pedagogical resources on environment, non-human nature and literature. Access the reading lists for information on the latest academic essays and fiction/non-fiction publications, with particular relevance to Southeast Asia.

LitENV offers an interactive platform for students and academics to communicate with each other and connect with special interest groups, NGOs and sustainability organisations to participate in volunteer activities. The content is dynamic and kept updated with the latest events and developments in Singapore and the ASEAN region.

We hope that the LitENV project will be a valuable resource to those interested in current critical debates and academic formations related to the intersection between ecocriticism, regional conceptualisations of the anthropocene, and world literature.

My thanks to A/P Kang Hway Chuan (Director, USP) and A/P Low Boon Chuan (Deputy Director, Academic) for their support and encouragement.
